Der Winter hat auch im Erler Festspielbezirk Einzug gehalten.

Oktober 2012

Die letzten Vorbereitungen für die Übergabe des Hauses werden getroffen. Die herbstliche Stimmung hat auch das Festspielhaus erreicht. Kuh und Festspielhaus harmonieren schon - der Kontrabass zieht Anfang November bei Probenbeginn in das Festspielhaus ein.

September 2012

The "festival district" is taking shape: the access road is broadened by a sidewalk and a bus lane. Meanwhile, inside the Festspielhaus the acacia wood floor for the stage is laid out.

August 2012

The acacia wood paneling is put up. In autumn the seating will arrive in Erl.

July 2012

Construction work didn't stop during the Tyrolian Festival Erl 2012. If you take a look out of the entrance hall, an overwhelming panoramic view opens up.

June 2012

The new Festspielhaus is excited to meet cow and double bass for the first time and of course about the upcoming Tyrolian Festival Erl 2012.

May 2012

The attaching of the fiber cement panels is progressing quite fast while the wood paneling in the hall is taking shape already.

April 2012

Aerial photos of the “festival district“ (Hans Peter Haselsteiner) including the car park show how far advanced the works already are. The fiber cement panels are getting attached to the whole face of the building. At the end of April, the workers will start attaching the wood panelling inside the hall and removing the scaffold.

March 2012

From outside, the house is almost distinguishable in its complete form. The fiber cement panels are getting attached to the face of the building. On the inside, the audience stands are getting completed, and the works on the lifting platform in the orchestra pit are getting started. The interior work is rapidly proceeding.

February 2012

The tiered seating structure, the elevators and a ventilation system are installed. Construction continues despite freezing temperatures – outside as well as inside.

January 2012

A connecting corridor to the Passionsspielhaus is being built. Interior construction is in full swing. Siding of the building with anthracite-colored fiber cement has started. Only one year to go until the opening of the new Festspielhaus!

December 2011

A huge steel gantry is erected at the Festspielhaus to put up cladding on the underside of the steel construction.

November 2011

The constructional steelwork is completed and the building’s characteristic shape starts to materialize.

October 2011

Work on the roof truss and steelwork continues. Inside, ventilation systems, heating and sanitary facilities are being installed. 

September 2011

The roof surface area is being completed step by step. Interior construction is starting. The steel construction, which gives the building its characteristic shape, is making progress. Inside, construction of the stage, the orchestra pit and the tiered seating is completed.

August 2011

The entrance hall is taking shape and the steelwork is starting. Erl’s cows take a look at their new neighbor, which harmonizes with the Passionspielhaus and its tranquil surroundings.

July 2011

The Festspielhaus is expanding horizontally to accommodate the administrative offices and Kostümmanufaktur among others. Construction continues during the Festival. Tours of the construction site are offered before performances and during breaks. 

June 2011

The structure has reached its final height and the construction team, the Tyrolean Festival Erl and many guests and friends come to celebrate the topping-out ceremony.

May 2011

The sidewalls are rising quickly; the work on the tiered seating has started and building’s full dimensions become apparent.

April 2011

The main floor walls are going up; the stage is starting to take shape.

March 2011

Work on the foundations is progressing; the orchestra pit is slowly taking shape.

February 2011

    The construction site has been setup.

The construction site has been erected. The project is presented to the public at a press conference. Rock excavation and blasting is continuing; foundation work is commencing.

January 2011

110,000 tons of rock were blasted and removed from the site. Of special concern was the preservation of the Blaue Quelle, a pristine natural monument. Experts were called in to ascertain the safety of the landmark and avoid potential damage to it.
